When Nicole Stroud, a veteran, left her remote job in Isreal, she left behind part of her life: a stray cat, Gigi, that she had taken care of and taken in as her own.
With the help of SPCA International, a program that reunites veterans with their overseas pets, she was able to adopt Gigi into her family.
Now, her husband and children can enjoy the presence of her pet.
"It meant the world to me, I don't know how else to describe it," Nicole said.
