Cleveland Police Union Replaces Steve Loomis As President

Members of Cleveland’s police union have voted to replace president Steve Loomis with his predecessor, Jeff Follmer.

The Cleveland Police Patrolmen’s Association leadership vote .

During Loomis' tenure, the CPPA made a rare foray into presidential politics in endorsing Donald Trump. 

Loomis was elected  in 2014, and served as president prior to that from 2006 to 2011. 

Follmer begins his stint leading the CPPA in January.
