Challengers for congressional incumbents across Northeast Ohio are set after Tuesday's primary.
Here are the highlights:
Maria Jukic to challenge Republican Incumbent Dave Joyce in 14th District
Maria Jukic will take on Republican incumbent Dave Joyce in the 14th district bordering Lake Erie and Pennsylvania on the far Northeast side of the state, including Lake, Trumbull, Ashtabula, Geauga and parts of Portage and Mahoning counties.
Jukic, who has worked in marketing at the Cleveland Clinic for two decades, beat out two other Democrats looking to unseat the seven-term congressman and former Geauga County prosecutor this fall.
Joyce handily won his primary over Niki Frenchko, a former Trumbull County commissioner.
Republican Incumbent Max Miller to face Brian Poindexter in Ohio 7
Democrat Brian Poindexter nabbed the party's nomination over seven others lining up to take on Republican incumbent Max Miller in the 7th district.
Poindexter is a union ironworker and Brook Park council member. He sent out an email shortly after the race was called Tuesday night.
"I'm proud of the work we've done to get to this point, I'm proud the voters have chosen me to be their nominee in the general election, and I'm proud of the coalition we've built to fight for the working families of Ohio's 7th District," Poindexter said. "But we haven't won yet. Max Miller is still doing real damage to the hardworking men and women of this District, and we can't truly celebrate until he is out of office."
Former Cuyahoga County Executive and gubernatorial candidate Ed Fitzgerald, who ran against then-incumbent John Kasich in 2014.
The district, which includes southern and western Cuyahoga County, all of Medina and Wayne counties and a sliver of northern Holmes County, is solidly Republican.

Cleveland incumbent Shontel Brown handily beats Democratic challengers in Ohio 11
Shontel Brown, Democratic incumbent representing portions of Cuyahoga County including all of Cleveland, easily held off two Democratic challengers in Tuesday's primary.
Brown has held the seat since 2022 and is favored to retain her position in the heavily democratic area against Republican challenger Mike Kirchner. Kirchner, a retired consulting actuary, defeated James Hemphill on Tuesday. All results are considered unofficial until certified.
