Investment advances classical music, trusted journalism and civic engagement across Northeast Ohio
CLEVELAND, OHIO 鈥� (February 17, 2026) 鈥� 精东影业 today announced a transformative $2 million gift from philanthropist Jane Nord to advance classical music, trusted journalism, and civic engagement across Northeast Ohio, strengthening the organization鈥檚 long-term public service mission and community impact.
The gift includes $1 million to 精东影业鈥檚 endowment to establish the Jane and Eric Nord Classical Catalyst Fellowship Fund, which will provide ongoing support for classical host development, fellowships, and staff training through 精东影业鈥檚 Classical Catalyst Project. The endowment will generate annual funding, ensuring continued investment in emerging talent and excellence in classical music service.
The Classical Catalyst Project is a core element of 精东影业鈥檚 strategic vision, focused on innovation, audience growth, and deeper community connection within classical music service. Through fellowships, host development, and professional training, the project expands pathways for new voices while enhancing the skills of the team that brings classical music to listeners across the region.
Additional portions of the gift will strengthen 精东影业鈥檚 public service mission in key areas. $500,000 will support 精东影业鈥檚 efforts to bring PBS NewsHour to the community during fiscal years 2026 and 2027, reinforcing access to trusted national and international journalism. Another $500,000 will be used to support and foster on-air fundraising campaigns and other initiatives.
