The Middletown, Ohio, native joined The Enquirerfor a 13-week summer internship after graduating from Ohio University in 1975, and parlayed it into a nearly 40-year career as a reporter (including covering the Beverly Hills fire aftermath), editor and TV columnist. 鈥淭VKiese鈥漴egularly traveled to Los Angeles and other cities to preview shows, interview stars and watch tapings of 鈥淓R,鈥 鈥淪einfeld,鈥 Jon Stewart鈥檚 鈥淭he Daily Show鈥 and David Letterman鈥檚 鈥淟ate Show.鈥 He鈥檚 also covered filming of George Clooney鈥檚 鈥淭he Ides of March,鈥滳ateBlanchett鈥檚鈥淐arol鈥 and DonCheadle鈥檚鈥淢iles Ahead.鈥

Locations in Price Hill and other parts of Greater Cincinnati were scouted in late July for the feature film "based on a true story of a photojournalist, Danny Lyon, who followed a Chicago motorcycle club in the mid-to-late 1960s and early 1970s and then published a book of his photos and interviews," according to a letter dated Monday July 25 left at homes by a location scout.
